The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Passed Away in a California Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, renowned for co-creating the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California aged 55.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The celebrated industry figure passed away following his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a devastating loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his loved ones, and all those touched by his creative vision," a representative from Electronic Arts stated.
