Spurs Manager Frank Calls Goalkeeper Critics 'Not Real Fans'
The Cottagers Start Strong to Defeat Tottenham and Raise Pressure on Frank
Spurs fans who booed keeper Vicario were told later "they can't be true Tottenham supporters" by manager Frank.
Tottenham let in two scores in the first initial moments to lose 2-1 to their opponents, marking their tenth top-flight at home defeat of 2025.
However the main talking point was the visitors' second goal when Vicario lost the ball well outside his area.
The goalkeeper came out to handle a long ball and took the ball towards the sideline.
However, rather than booting it into touch, the Italian spun and attempted to clear, but lost his footing as the ball skimmed off Harry Wilson and was controlled by Josh King.
The forward laid the ball off to Wales midfielder Harry Wilson, who curled a strike into the goal from the touchline measured at 36.6 metres.
Seconds later when the ball went to the keeper again, a number of Tottenham supporters booed him.
The team were jeered off at half-time, with the side 2-0 down, and once more at the final whistle.
A particular of those jeering episodes truly angered the manager.
"It came to my attention a few of our fans reportedly booed the incident and booed after, which, in my view is completely unacceptable," the Danish manager stated about the fans' reaction to his goalkeeper.
"[They] cannot be real Tottenham fans that act that way. Alright booing after the match, fine, but when we are in play, we are supporting each other, we are with one another moving ahead."
Kenny Tete had given the visitors a early advantage prior to Harry Wilson's goal – with Kudus scoring for Spurs in an better second-half performance.
Former top-flight goalkeeper Joe Hart remarked that the next score was "totally avoidable".
"I certainly appreciate the supporters' disappointment," Hart added. "I am aware the role Vicario is performing. He is a excellent squad member, he's a real figure in the dressing room but in the end you are going to be assessed by your decisions.
"He was heavily implicated in what turned out to be the decisive score."

Frank Defended His Keeper Guglielmo Vicario Following the Game
Italy national team the keeper is in his third season with Tottenham.
He said after the match that he had to accept the feedback.
"The second goal was a error of mine, I accept accountability for that," he commented.
"The intent was to kick the ball far and I just hit the ball in a bad manner. That made an more difficult challenge to overcome."
He stated being booed "is part of football".
"I am mature, what can I say?" he added. "The team can't be affected by the situation in the crowd. Supporters have the entitlement to do as they see fit.
"It's on the team to remain increasingly composed, to concentrate on ourselves. The team is lacking in calmness and poise to overturn outcomes. Today is a bad loss and it is hard to take."
'It Shocked Me Nobody Returned to the Line'
In spite of the keeper's mistake, it was far from an simple score for Wilson to score.
In fact it was the second longest-range top division score of the season – following Adams' 43.3 metre goal for the Cherries against the Black Cats, which interestingly also came on the same day.
Wilson said he was "a little bit taken aback" that he still had an open goal to aim for.
Ten moments passed between Vicario coming out of his box and Wilson shooting – which was 5 moments following the clearance.
"I felt like the keeper was out of the box for a long time," Wilson remarked.
"It amazed me none of the defenders returned to the goal line. When none of them defended the net, my interest lit up somewhat.
"[Destiny] Udogie slipped as well, which gave me a little additional opportunity. Then it was all about attempting to achieve the correct connection and place it towards goal. I had a good sense, the moment it came off my foot, that it was heading in."

Booing Whilst We Are Still in Play Is Totally Unacceptable - Frank
Although Vicario's error dominated coverage, this was an overall poor performance for Spurs to extend their home ground woes.
The match was their tenth at home loss of 2025 in the Premier League, a joint team statistic along with nineteen ninety-four and two thousand and three.
The side still have home games against Frank's former club Brentford and title holders Liverpool to come before the close of the year.
Just a single of those victories have occurred since Frank replaced Ange Postecoglou in the summer.
"If you are down 2-0 following the opening, there is a huge challenge to overcome," stated Frank.
"When you're in a poor run, all aspects seems to work against you as well – the first was a deflected attempt, the second is a mistake from Vic.
"This result leaves us in a place where we have suffered another game. Every game has a single story, this game we were defeated in the first six minutes.
"We simply need to keep working. The later period was significantly improved and hopefully something we can use to develop."
Spurs have lost four straight at home London derbies for the first time in the top division.
Furthermore they are recording nine point five shots and three point two shots on target per match in the division – their lowest averages on file in a one season (since at least 2003-04).
Former Cottagers midfield player Danny Murphy stated that Frank has to endure the criticism.
"He's got take the criticism," Murphy remarked. "He has accepted a high profile job at a huge team with massive anticipation. There is pressure and responsibility that comes with that.
"Their showings at home have been poor and they have to get better {quickly|
