Mohamed Salah Extends Statement to Liverpool Dressing Room, Discloses Curtis Jones
Jones has shared that Salah expressed regret to the group of players in the wake of the fallout from his televised remarks.
What Happened
He was omitted from a European match following making accusations and stating his connection to the head coach had deteriorated.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
The head coach has refused to disclose on whether he received a personal apology from the player.

He emphasized that the team's response stayed normal. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and it was business as usual,” Jones added.
The midfielder also suggested that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “It's clear there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”
Positive Results
The team's performance have stayed unbeaten in the period after the situation. Jones believes the Salah's words were not intended to cause disruption.
“If passion has boiled over, it’s always been from a good place,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re building chemistry, getting results and on a positive run.”
