Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined is a from-scratch reinterpretation of the landmark year 2000 JRPG, first released as Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past. Taking a notable step away from other Dragon Quest remakes, such as the recently released HD-2D iterations, this reimagining embraces a charming 3D visual presentation. Locales appear to look like intricate miniature worlds, with party members having a delightful toy-like design.

"Even with the previous version, the main quest was still quite long. Therefore, we came to a decision that we wanted to condense the story, [and] make this adventure for contemporary players."

• Expanded Job System: One completely new vocation has been created for this reimagining. Additionally, characters now have the capacity to master a secondary job, significantly enhancing customization depth.

Such changes are designed to address one of the 2000 game's frequent points of feedback: its immense length. That initial adventure could easily require more than 100 hours to finish. This reimagined version was expressly designed to enhance flow and reduce perceived filler.
